Brentwood Kids Music Club introduces the first kids' musical with an animated character, which your kids will interact with on screen. In Here for the Gold a group of local kids write and produce a web streaming live show to spread the message of what is really important in life. Instead of worldly materials like cash in your pocket or the latest i-thing, they focus on the truths from the parables of Jesus, such as building a firm foundation, forgiving others, loving their neighbors and letting their light shine to glorify God. When CG, a lovable but clueless animated character, hijacks their show, Jake, Lauren, Huey, Alex, and Sarah do their best to explain to him that the treasure they're talking about can't be dug out of a mine and isn't buried under the sea. Will CG get the message before the finale?

Creators Sue C. Smith, Brian Hitt and Luke Gambill have teamed up with Brentwood Kids Music Club & K-tuneZ Praise to present Here for the Gold, Finding Treasures in the Stories Jesus Told! With scenes including character-interactive onscreen computer generated animation, this groundbreaking 42-minute musical includes all new songs with relevant lyrics, melodies and audio production for today's kids!

I'm so excited to be part of this project! The parables of Jesus–the important lessons in them for kids as well as adults–are packaged in songs and drama that are similar to what kids love to listen to and watch. The story and lyrics have plenty of fun, but the lessons about building on the right foundation, being a good neighbor, forgiving, and living for God's glory are clear. The goal of this project was to share the parables Jesus told in a way that's relevant to kids today. These fun songs teach truths that kids can apply throughout their entire lives. Using words like 'bling' and 'cray-cray' aren't words Sue Smith and I use every day in songwriting but we wanted to teach valuable lessons to today's youth with fun words that are relevant to their generation! ~Brian Hitt
