Ready to Sing, One easy rehearsal...then Ready to Sing!
That was the way it all started in 1989. Dale Mathews, a young music minister and music publisher, found himself with a great need for high quality choral music that was easy to teach, easy to learn and ready to sing. With that need in mind, Dale created the most influential choir series in evangelical music over the past 25 years – Ready To Sing.
Today, more than 4,000,000 Ready To Sing choir books have found their way into the choir lofts and libraries of thousands of churches around the world. It's a joy to realize that after all these years the basic concept, built around a simple need, still works and meets the needs of church choirs everywhere.
Many people have touched and influenced this amazing series over the years, but none so much as Russell Mauldin, the Ready To Sing Arranger, Johnathan Crumpton, and Sue C. Smith. They have taken the original concept and expanded it into what are now more than 70 different volumes of Ready To Sing books.
Over the years, the original concept – 14 thematic medleys designed for one rehearsal then...Ready to Sing – has seen very little change. We've somewhat departed from using thematic medleys in each book, but every Ready To Sing book is still designed with that one rehearsal, ready-to-sing-ability in mind. It has spun off into many different categories – Contemporary, Classics, Praise & Worship, Inspirational, Southern Gospel, Blended Worship, Hymns & Gospel Songs, and Youth Choir – along with a hugely successful line of Ready To Sing seasonal musicals.
To celebrate its success, we are proud to release this special 25th Anniversary Collection with 25 masterful arrangements by Russell Mauldin. These 25 arrangements offer you newly re-recorded arrangements with new full orchestrations, several all-time favorites and even brand-new, never-released arrangements. We hope you enjoy the incredible value of these 25 arrangements as we commemorate the most trusted choral series available...Ready To Sing!
